Hotel Alte Post in Oberammergau. The town's houses and business are painted in what's known as Luftmalerei (air paintings). Oberammergau is home to the Passion Play, first performed in1634. The Oberammergau villagers vowed that if God spared them from the bubonic plague they would perform a passion play every ten years.
